The recent collaboration between Jaggad and J’Aton presents an activewear line with a very glam twist. Described as being ‘red carpet meets high performance’, the collection brings femininity and style to the activewear world.
Crafted with Australian Merino wool, the Evergreen Muscle Tank and the Noir Muscle Tank are inspired by the intricate details of a couture gown but with an edgy, sporty element. “Women buy clothes for transformations, and that’s what this collection does,” says Greene. “Men, on the other hand, buy clothes to get from A to B, to be quicker, stronger and faster.”
It’s this perfect balance of flattering women’s activewear and high-performance menswear that Jaggad has nailed in the few years since it launched. On the back of the Jaggad x J’Aton collection, Jaggad unveils a series of videos with Australian UFC fighter Jake Matthews, not only showing the physical and mental strength of the athlete, but subtly highlighting the latest activewear garments made from Merino wool.
“We did this warrior-style menswear shoot featuring Jake Mathews and AFL players Cal Ward and Chris Judd to remind our customers that we are Australia’s toughest performance brand for Australia’s toughest athletes,” says Greene. “What Jaggad does is support the everyday athlete to be their best whilst also looking their best.”
And with Matthews set to take to the Octagon for the upcoming UFC Fight Night in Melbourne, he’s no doubt needed high-performance apparel to help him tackle his tough training regime.
“We want to become the preferred training partner; so whether it’s 6am or lunchtime or after work, if you whack our gear on you're going to look great and achieve maximum performance, and we do this through the best fit, best construction and best fabrics,” says Greene.
Jaggad’s latest Merino menswear apparel adds to their extensive core Merino range, which includes singlets, muscle tanks and short and long-sleeved tees.
