While the collection was designed for spring/summer 2017, and indeed was made of mostly lightweight fabrics, including Merino wool, the garments themselves hinted at the notion of protection. Included were parkas, anoraks and field jackets in a colour palette that reflected the Yorkshire moors in different seasons, such as rich brown, forest green, mustard and bright yellow.
A special feature of Dalton's collection was the knitwear. Crafted in collaboration with well-established British knitwear manufacturer John Smedley, the long-sleeved crew neck features a digitally printed map pattern and is knitted from 100% Merino wool, making it as easy on the skin as it is on the eye. What's more is that the sweater is available to buy right now, effectively allowing you to shop the runway.
