In New York City, the Council of Fashion Designers of America has announced the recipients of its 2016 CFDA Awards at a star-studded event at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The Woolmark Company collaborator Thom Browne took home the trophy for Menswear Designer of the Year, while veteran International Woolmark Prize judge Imran Amed, the editor-in-chief of the Business of Fashion, was honoured with the Media Award for his publication’s coverage of the international fashion industry. On the red carpet, Emily Ratajkowski was a standout in a custom black silk wool crepe gown by Jason Wu. See the full list of award winners below.
